description
How did our view of death change since prehistoric times? And how does our perception of death change from birth to adulthood? Why do we tend to exclude death from the notion of life considering that death is the only future outcome we can be certain of?

By combining the habitual with the horrible and the aesthetic the author seeks an answer to the question of why are we afraid of death and repulsed by the dead body all the while being drawn to death. If death is concealed and disguised will it become less revolting?
